Buxton Wimble Tennis £1.2m Text to Win

As is common with sponsors of major sporting events, drinks provider Buxton wanted to leverage their sponsorship of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships.

In co-operation with their fixed fee agency WorldWide Special Risks provided peace of mind with a £1,200,000 prize insurance contract to cover payment of any prizes won for a fixed cost.

With the core aims of generating sales, creating awareness and capturing customer data Buxton ran an on-pack text to win promotion offering customers the chance to win the equivalent of the men’s and women’s winners cheque.

On-pack advertising encouraged customers to text in their guess, the combination of the men’s and woman’s winners locker.

Although there was no winner of the main prize on this occasion Buxton had served up a successful promotion capturing valuable data for their customer base.
